Not many wise

“Many men of earnest spirit and established Christian character are hindered in their efforts to do good by the slenderness of their knowledge.” -Charles Spurgeon

“You parents can provide no better gift for your children than an education in the liberal arts. House and home burn down, but an education is easy to carry along.” -Martin Luther

Here is a video proposing a solution to the education crisis that plagues our nation.
Here is a school actually starting in 08 that is seeking to plant trees so that future generations may bask in the shade.

Amen. Education is one of the, if not the, most glaring weaknesses in the church. Too much of the responsibility for raising up our children has been abdicated by parents and given over to the education establishment. How are we supposed to counter a weeks worth of education that denies God with a couple hours of Sunday school and AWANA?

Concerning the church, I would say there is a pyramid of problems. At the foundation is an unregenerate church membership and need to return to the gospel of the Bible. Above that, (because you have unregenerate parents) the homes are a disaster. On top of that, you have, suprise, suprise, children who are not being raised in the faith and homes are in disarray.
