Christian fellowship

"By almost any method of evaluation many if not most of our churches are in need of spiritual revitalization. The need for new, healthy churches is widespread. The nexus of efforts to address both needs is the Gospel itself." Tom Ascol- Founders Ministry

The power of the Christian church comes from the gospel. It is the power of God unto salvation.

As I work towards reconciliation between area churches, our starting point and ending point is the gospel itself. At Pentacost, I don't see Peter and the twelve demanding a clear understanding of TULIP until he would baptize the 3,000 converts who gladly received the gospel. Interestingly enough, they were immediatley baptized by immersion- even though many of them had probably been circumcised Jews.

It is only after conversion and baptism that the disciples began to gather daily from house to house, studying the apostles doctrine. The necessity and understanding of the new birth is the foundation of all Christian fellowship.
