It is no secret, what God can do

“A Great Savior” by Joe Jones

On the third week of July 2007, through hearing the preaching of the word, the Lord of all creation started to move in my life. The only thing I remember staying in my mind, is pastor Joe saying, “for Christ, would you take that step.” Since this work of God was done in my heart, I have wanted to more and more read my bible. I thought it was weird. Never before had I wanted to read the bible. My outlook on the Scriptures was one of doubt. Why read about a bunch of dead people? I thought. But a great change took place in my life. I was totally deprived of God’s holiness. With this conversion came persecutions. Some former friends do not even speak to me anymore because my “Christianity talk” became annoying and pestering to them. But I read in the bible that “to live is Christ and to die is gain.” God, through His word has shown me the need to trade this life, put off the old man and his deeds, and to put on the new man with his deeds. Psalms 150:6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! With this death, the choices I now need to make, along with my past and the time I have spent in church, I know one thing for sure. Jesus Christ is a great Savior and I am a sinner.
Joe Jones is a freshman at Gaylord high school.

Joe has been such an inspiration to me. He has grown so much in the Lord. The Lord, through Joe has convicted me in several areas in my own life. I looked forward to seeing him grown strong in the Lord. I love you Joe, MOM
